Kite Fest
Sponsored by Fly It Port A, this Kite Festival brings bright colors, ocean breezes, and family-friendly fun to the beaches of Port Aransas three times during the year. Professional and amateur kite flyers from across the country share the sand with kids and families, with kite-making workshops, candy drops from the sky, and live demonstrations all weekend.

Texas SandFest

Whooping Crane Festival
Each year in February, the Whooping Crane Festival celebrates the annual return of the cranes to their wintering habitat at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. The Texas Coastal Bend is the only place where you can see the world’s last naturally occurring population of Whooping Cranes. The festival features renowned speakers, birding trips, boating trips, nature tours, photography workshops, an exhibit fair, and much more

Wooden Boat Festival
The Port Aransas Wooden Boat Festival, which began in 2014, is an annual family friendly event that takes place in the fall and features handcrafted kayaks, paddleboards, skiffs and sailing boats — as well as historic Farley boats.
