DE LIGHT FUL....that pretty much sums up our experience at our new favorite place to stay in Port A...Sandollar Sity. Location and view is spectacular. Ethan and Tiffanie are the most gracious hosts and very accommodating. Other than needing a bit more counter space in the kitchen, the rooms were very comfortable. The bed is comfortable, the a/c works great and it’s 200ft from the beach. If you like bougie, high end hotels this is not the place for you. This is for being close to the beach at a great price. My friend and I stayed in Shore Thang and it was absolutely adorable. Our space was really clean and the owners were super nice and flexible- we even ended up booking an extra night while we were there because we weren’t ready to leave! So cozy, simple, clean, peaceful, and quiet. The sounds of the waves and the gulls are front and center. On the beach, yet somewhat hidden from the crowds and wind. The one and only negative for us personally, is the very tall bed. My husband is in a wheelchair so that transfer is very awkward, even with help. However, the beds are comfy and just fine for most guests.Posted on GoogleEdna ArriagaApril 14, 2025Stayed the weekend at Sandollar Sity, in The Lighthouse unit. The hotel is literally ON the beach. We loved the everything about it! The location CAN NOT be beat! Our balcony provided the perfect view of the ocean and of the amazing pink moon! We never had to leave the beach with everything at our reach. The unit was immaculately cleaned, even with all the sand right outside the door. The rooms and kitchen had everything we needed although we didn't cook, just made coffee and warmed up Delia's tamales (we travel with them to avoid going to breakfast). Great, clean accommodations. All your kitchens needs are stocked and beds are super comfortable. We went with family of eight and it was perfect. Can’t wait to go back. This is the place to be. We just spent a full week here at Sandollar Sity and it was pure bliss. We stayed in the cabin house. It was Spotless, Comfortable, and equipped with anything we needed. I enjoyed a coffee on the deck every single morning and snuggled up with a good book. The location can’t get any better. When you’re ready to swim in the ocean, it’s about a 2 min walk to the water. I already have my next stay booked!
