Port Aransas Museum

Start your adventure into the history of Port Aransas at the museum. Permanent exhibits include the Fourth Order Fresnel lens that graced the top of the Lydia Ann Lighthouse from 1878 to 1952, the bell from the train that brought the rocks to build the jetties, films of Port Aransas in the 1920s and 1930s, photographs and much more! Visit the gift shop for one-of-a-kind gifts.

Farley Boat Works

Farley Boat Works is a living exhibit. The sounds of the boat shop can be heard as soon as you enter the building. Visit to see the shop in action and watch boats being built.

Chapel on the Dunes Tours

The Chapel on the Dunes was built between 1937 and 1938 by Aline B. Carter, who was called the “White Angel” because of her flowing, white organdy dresses and loving service to the community. The white washed interior was painted with inspiring Biblical murals in 1972 by artist, John Patrick Cobb. Tours of the chapel are given every first and third Saturday.
