Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Welcome to the Sandollar Sity FAQ page, where you will find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for here, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What time is check- in and check-out?
CHECK-IN time is 4 PM
CHECK-OUT time is 11 AM
How do I check in after hours?
What is your pet policy?
PET POLICY — Pets are not allowed at Sandollar Sity. If a pet is found to be staying on the property, a charge of $250 will be assessed and guests will be asked to leave, without refund.
SERVICE DOG POLICY — Our definition of a service dog and a dog that is not a service dog: A service dog is with its owner because the owner has a health NEED that requires them to have a professionally trained service animal to assist them so that they can live every day to the fullest. Not a service dog — a dog whose owner WANTS the dog to be with them at all times and has not gone through the channels to get a professionally trained service dog.
The reason we provide this definition is because we are aware that some people think their WANTS are more important than other’s NEEDS. Please don’t book a room with us not knowing the difference.
If your dog is making noise, being aggressive, not potty trained (unfinished hard wood floors show everything) or is left unattended, you will be asked to vacate the premises immediately without refund.
If the service dog causes damage to the property, our damage fee begins at $300 and can increase according to the amount of damage.
Do you allow smoking?
Smoking is not allowed in the rooms. Smoking is allowed on your private balcony.
Do you provide beach towels?
No. Please remember to pack your own. The towels in your room are for your room, not the beach
Do you offer housekeeping services?
We do not have daily housekeeping services. If you find yourself in need of fresh towels or sheets, please contact the front desk at (361) 749-5000.
Do you have daily maid service?
No, we don’t. It’s your vacation, so enjoy it. If you need towel change outs or something else, we are happy to do so during office hours.
Should I rinse off before going to my room?
Yes. Please, please, please, rinse sand and suntain oils off before getting into bed. The oils stain sheets and towels.
Your parking area seems small. How many parking spaces do I have?
Due to our limited space, one car per bedroom for parking. Any other vehicles will have to be parked off site, either on the beach (which requires a beach parking permit) or in the overflow lot provided by the city on Port St.
For information, contact the City of Port Aransas at (361) 749-4111 or visit their website at: https://cityofportaransas.org/.)
Do you have a pool?
What are your office hours?
We are open 10 AM – 6 PM.
What is your booking and cancellation policy?
To reserve a room, a deposit of 50% of total stay is due at time of booking. All reservations must be fully paid 15 days prior to arrival date. After this time (15 days prior to arrival) all reservations are non-cancellable and all monies are non-refundable. Notice of cancellation must be given on the 15th day or more prior to arrival to be eligible for a refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Once within the 15 days of arrival any changes to the itinerary will not be eligible for a refund.
Guest agrees that no refund will be made for early check-outs once they have checked into the property.
If the guest does not cancel the reservation and does not arrive for the guests rental period, all monies paid will be forfeited.
There are no refunds for early departures or bad weather. The ONLY refund (for less than 7 days from arrival) will be for a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, that will affect our area, resulting in the beach being closed to vehicle traffic. We know that life does happen and will work with anyone that has had a major emergency come up; a major emergency being a death or illness.
Is wifi complimentary?
Are there BBQ grills?
Can we pop fireworks on the beach?
No. You are in city limits and it is against the law and a horrible idea due to dry conditions.
We have one person more than the agreement, is that okay?
No, it isn’t. We have a maximum occupancy limit for a reason. If more than the number of guests are found staying on property, all guests will be asked to leave.
