Castaways will be OPEN Thanksgiving Day (11 a.m. –.4 p.m.) and is now taking pre-orders for pick up and reservations for dine-in. Pickup orders must be placed by phone or in person by Nov. 21 and picked up at designated time of your choosing. Reservations are not required but highly recommended! 4. Port Aransas Turkey Trot (Wednesday, Nov. 27)
Held every year the day before Thanksgiving at the Palmilla Beach Resort and Golf Club, the Turkey Trot is a fundraiser for programs and scholarships for Trinity by the Sea Episcopal Day School, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the only day school in Port Aransas.
The event features events for all ages and physical abilities, including a 10K Run, 5K Walk/Run, 2K Walk, and a Tot Trot (for ages 10 and under). After the races, the entire family can enjoy bounce houses, face painting, cotton candy, music, lawn games, a turkey costume contest and more fun activities!
